I indigenous grape varieties are those vine varieties that are specific to a specific territory and that find in that specific territory the ideal soil and climate conditions to express themselves at their best. With some of these it is very difficult to obtain good results outside their environment and therefore their cultivation covers even very limited areas, thus jeopardising their preservation. In contrast to a recent past in which wine made from international varieties was favoured, today native grape varieties are proposed by sommeliers even in Michelin-starred restaurants and are the respected protagonists of events such as "Autoctono si nasce' by the Go Wine Association. This article shares tasting notes of the most interesting wines drunk at this very event.
