Yesterday at Monforte d'Albain the wine cellar Perno Castle (from where you can admire the splendid view of the Serralunga d'Alba Castle on the cover), the Pellegrini Day with a wine tasting of some of the references in the catalogue of Pellegrini SpA, a company from Bergamo active in the distribution of quality wines and spirits since 1904. From the hundreds of labels on tasting, I chose 50, both on the basis of wines I wanted to taste again and on the basis of recommendations received from agents and friends. I avoided the table dedicated to Champagne AOC in view of the Modena Champagne Experience to be held on 15 and 16 October 2023. Below are my tasting notes (in order of tasting) of wines that deserve to be discovered by sommeliers for inclusion in their wine cellar or that of their restaurant/wine bar.
